“Theology
always starts with reciting the narrative of your life before God.” “The next
two decades will bring technological and social changes more rapid and
revolutionary than anything this planet has ever experienced.
Rigidifying the
past won’t help us to be church in new and powerful ways for this new
context.
But boldly finding new ways to be Jesus’ arms and legs will.” ~ Philip
Clayton
The goal of these questions is
to help you identify
the truths which have transformed your life, and to be able to share
these
truths as a gift with others. What does
Scripture teach us about this question? What does
the history of the Christian tradition teach us about this question? -
What
parts of our tradition are tied to a certain time & place which
we need to
let go of? What parts of our tradition are still relevant today? What does
Reason tell us? -
What
insights can we draw from the Sciences, Philosophy, Psychology, other
academic disciplines
and other world religions? What does
your own life experience tell you? How are
your answers to these questions good news for our world today? |
We will be recording the messages each week, and posting them here, so you can share in the conversations. The sound levels on some may be low because the speakers don't always stand still.
